Nata Belkin was born in Kamensk-Uralsk, Russia. She studied at the
Tashkent State Academy of Music, specializing in the cello. Her degrees
include Soloist, Symphony and Chamber Orchestra Performer and Teacher.
Ms. Belkin launched her performing career as a cellist with the Symphony
Orchestra of Uzbekistan. She then began a long engagement as cellist with
the Israel Chamber Orchestra, with whom she toured in concert throughout
France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, England, and the United States.
Ms. Belkin has had extensive experience in Chamber Ensemble playing. She
has performed in many chamber groups, including String Trio, String
Quartet, Piano Trio, Duet (Cello and Piano), Baroque Trio and a unique
String Trio with Violin, Classical Guitar and Cello.
Since her arrival in Canada in 2001, Ms. Belkin has participated in the
Kincardin, Mississauga, and Niagara-on-the-Lake Summer Festivals, holding
teaching and performing positions.
She has been performing in a variety of Chamber Music concerts in Southern
Ontario with members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, as well as The
Stark Trio.
Ms. Belkin has also participated in live recordings with The Stark Trio
for Mirrored Nature Records.
